The model was in very good shape when received. Apparently Dave utilized very little glue on this one, consequently it almost “fell apart” into its components. Every part was washed in soap and water and then reassembled.
Repairs: One repair was needed. The front wheels were pinned to the front axle with brass rod to return them to the correct posed position.
Paint: The frame was touched up where appropriate.
Replaced Parts: The grain of wheat headlights and taillights were replaced and the wiring was rerouted.
Comments: John and Paul felt “it was in remarkable condition for its age”. More “in process” photos of the restoration of this model, taken by Paul, will be uploaded at a later date.
