The Museum has amassed a remarkable and very substantial library of the history of the model car hobby whether expressed through magazines, books, pamphlets, catalogs, newsletters or digital film of past events in the hobby.
Magazines and Books!
We have complete runs of every major model car magazine printed since 1961. Each individual issue is packed in clear sleeve accompanied by a special “backer board” that have been coated with preservative chemicals to help stabilize the paper in these magazines. Some magazines have survived comparatively well, but early issues of Model Car Science have suffered because of some nearly “newsprint-level” paper used to print the first couple of years of that magazine.
Check out the accompanying images – soon to be substantially increased in number along with a complete list of magazines that are housed at the Museum – to give you a sense of the incredible array of magazines that range from 1932 through the latest issue of Model Cars Magazine.

Document Record (Filing Cabinets). The Museum has also acquired an incredible collection of paper ephemera, records, photos, advertising sheets and related items of our hobby.
